In a day and age in music where anyone can record music on
their computer and post it to their MySpace page, few artists
possess the attention to detail that can be found in D’Anthony
Anthony’s music. Nurtured by a musical family, D’Aaron
Anthony’s love for music started as a hobby. Thanks to his father,
the young protege (born D’Aaron Anthony Battle) had access to
a plethora of musical equipment. Occasionally, he would risk
disciplinary action, known as “getting whooped”, to play his father’s
Roland drum machine which was clearly “not a toy.” After D’Aaron’s
father accepted the young boy’s genuine inclination towards music,
he bought him a small drum kit. This gesture would kick off D’Aaron’s
life long search for limitless creative expression.
Talented, versatile, and eclectic are all words that can be used to
describe the music that D’Aaron Anthony makes. D’Aaron is an
extremely talented musician and draws influence from many great
artists including Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, George Clinton,
and Roy Ayers, and their effect can be heard throughout the many
tracks that he has produced. He his an artist who is willing to invest
in himself and his craft, having completed the curriculum at The
Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Mesa, Arizona.
This formal training has enabled him to become the artist he is today.
He is a serious creator who puts forth the effort to master his craft
daily, and it is evident in the attention to detail in his music. As an
artist, he doesn’t talk about who he is; while his actions show who he
isn’t, he makes genuine heartfelt music.
D’Aaron possesses a very diverse catalog of music and production;
each work is a testament of his abilities as a true artist. In addition to
producing his own work, including his recent single “Pose”, his
resume also encompasses engineering live sound for SWV and
scoring independent films such as Cody Black, which can currently
be seen on the STARZ cable network. The budding star has begun
to develop a name for himself, garnering attention worldwide,
resulting in remixes of his music from Italian producers The 2000
and a feature on Italian electro DJ’s Pink is Punk’s single “My Ferrari”.
At the Winter Music Conference 2010 his music garnered the
attention of Netherlands based record label First Class Music, and
an interest in distributing his single “Pose” as well.
With his visually descriptive content and great range, D’Aaron
delivers music that men and women from all walks of life, both
young and old, will love and enjoy. His music is undoubtedly the
sound of the future. His fascination with freedom is expressed in
every aspect of his being, and is a catalyst that keeps the status
quo moving. A self-aware and assertive individual, D’Aaron is just
as thirsty as the millions of listeners who want to hear music that
grows from uninhibited expression and not over-calculated
marketing. Simply put, he just wants to make music, and one thing
is evident: D’Aaron Anthony’s influence is absolutely uncontainable!
